breaking relationship strong holds of the mind

Breaking strongholds of the mind sets on the flesh It is God's will for us to have intimate relationships with him and as believers we go through. Example, "I now break and sever any ungodly soul ties formed between devastating strongholds to have, is an incorrect image in your mind of who God is . Are you a Christian struggling with strongholds in your life? Renounce all the works of the enemy, all soul ties, all areas that Apply the Blood of Jesus to your mind, will, emotions and body daily and as often as needed.

Strongholds are build upon deception and lies that we've accepted into our minds. So how do you counter a lie? How do you counter deception? Where do we find the truth?

In the Word of God. As we can see in Ephesians, this weapon is known as the sword of the Spirit: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

First, since the sword of the Spirit is the offensive piece of our weaponry, it is a great tool for tearing down strongholds. You need to go on the offensive to tear down a stronghold, and the Word of God is the weapon you cannot afford not to use.

So when the devil tries to tell us, "You really messed up, haven't you? It reminds him of the days when he tried tempting Jesus: Satan said to Jesus, "If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. After Jesus did that a few times, he had no choice but to hit the road Jesus knew the relevant scriptures to quote, and took away Satan's ability to influence Him!

Let's go back to 2 Corinthians again and see what else it has to say: They are things that we imagine Just throw it out and leave him hanging! Get your mind on God's Word and off of what the devil is trying to tell you. What else are we told in this verse? We are to cast down every thought that comes into our minds that opposes the knowledge of God.

What is the knowledge of God? Do not waste your time thinking about it or trying to reason with it. If Satan is trying to tell you that God is not wanting to forgive you, then don't listen to it. Because His Word says otherwise: One of the last things Satan wants us to know is God's forgiving and loving nature towards us even after we have messed up! As you can see, strongholds are built on lies and deception. How do you counter such things? Where do you find truth?

In the Word of God! Stop thinking about what Satan has been feeding you, and begin to meditate on God's Word. Take verses in the Bible that run contrary to what the devil's been feeding you, and repeat them to yourself over and over out loud.

Think about them often, and meditate on them. The devil got his stronghold built by causing you to meditate on his lies and deception, so if you want to tear down that stronghold, you need to begin meditating on the exact opposite, which is God's Word.

Listening to and reasoning with the things the devil puts in your mind is exactly what he wants you to do.

It feed his strongholds when you allow your mind to meditate on Satan's word opposite of God's Word. Cut him off at the source and say NO to the garbage he's been feeding you, and at the same time turn to God's Word. Begin to feed, meditate upon, think about often and dwell upon on the truth. But, my God, my soul has horizons further away than those early mornings, deeper darkness than the nights of earth, higher peaks than any mountain peaks, greater depths than any sea in nature.

You who are the God of all these, be my God. I cannot reach to the heights or to the depths; there are motives I cannot discover, dreams I cannot realize. My God, search me. Please stay alert, allow God to examine you, for you never know when sin will try and seize you.

Always take heed and know that the enemy never sleeps. Our connections tell us a lot about ourselves.

It was our caregivers duty to teach us to connect to good things, to give us quality of life, to give us a healthy foundation. It was their responsibility to train us in the way we should go. They passed down to their children what was passed down to them. I myself was sick and tired of making unhealthy choices or making bad connections, tired of living in guilt and shame.

I was tired of being fearful, angry, and stubborn. Tired of being confused and constantly full of anxiety. I was tired of being insecure, tired of playing the role of the victim, and tired of pretending and performing. I was tired of blaming others for my condition. I made the decision to be free, allowing God complete authority, to examine me daily so I could see the things that were going on beneath the surface.

This is what I call recovery. Here is a list of wicked strongholds Suspicion: Being painfully deceived can cause the building of a stronghold of suspicion to protect ourselves from being deceived again. This stronghold will resist intimacy with God.

The stronghold of doubt is usually one of the most obvious strongholds. It frequently accompanies a stronghold of suspicion, which we can masquerade so well; its existence is often totally denied.

How Can I Break a Mental Stronghold of The Enemy?

The stronghold of doubt is the direct cause of building a stronghold of unbelief. Rejection can cause the building of a stronghold of independence and self-sufficiency around pain, fortifying a right to never be vulnerable again. This can include any vulnerability to the work of the Holy Spirit. The stronghold of independence says; I refuse to depend on anyone for help. This stronghold is the reason we have depended on things of the world to fill our void.

These substitute dependencies can and will turn into addictions. Betrayal can cause the building of a stronghold of distrust to prevent anyone from getting close enough to betray again. This person will generally also be unable to fully trust God whose perfect love cast out fear.

Here is a quote that has truth written all over it: Ignorance has become a mountain and a stronghold even in Christian churches. Stupidity means that you have knowledge but refuse to apply it.

When unmet needs exist a stronghold of false security may be erected. This stronghold protects a facade of great strength intended to keep others from knowing how internally fragile and needy a person is. This can extend to keeping God at arms length, as well. A stronghold of confusion is erected by the old nature to mask the true understanding of a given issue or many issues. This stronghold leads to discouragement and depression which can be a stronghold as well.

Satisfied with how things are and not willing to change them. Marked by self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies. Feeling or showing satisfaction and lack of worry, concern or caution. Someone who is complacent has checked out of life and merely just existing.

When someone has been abused or deeply hurt, unless forgiveness and healing come, strongholds of unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness or anger are erected to justify the role of being a victim. A childhood filled with chaos, drama, instability and everything seemingly out of control can build a stronghold of control to prevent ever being at the mercy of another again. This stronghold is built to justify and protect the right to indulge self to compensate for unmet needs and pain.

This stronghold will cause you to be addicted to pleasure. It will cause violence, and division. It is normal for a child to act out of their pain, it is their way of letting us know that they are hurting inside. Anger is the way children express themselves.

This kind of childish behavior is common in our society today. There are millions and millions of acting out insecure angry children living today in adult bodies trying to manage their pain instead of resolving it.

Fear is a common but slightly different stronghold. People generally do not build this stronghold for protection; it is erected around great apprehension and anxiety over unresolved experiences and memories. In the noun fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. The child that has been rejected will never make themselves vulnerable to be hurt again. This type of fear will cause a person to never trust again.

This kind of fear is why so many people are lonely, angry and medicate. Control and manipulation are by-products of fear. Scripture clearly indicates that God hates pride. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. Shame by nature goes inward. It withdraws and goes into isolation.

Shame is a painful feeling of humiliation, dishonor or disgrace. Shame focuses on who one is. Low self-esteem, low self-worth, and a lack of confidence are all caused by the feelings of shame.

Shame is the insidious stronghold that quietly sabotages our lives. Codependency, rescuing, enabling and being overly responsible for another are all motivated by guilt. Guilt is remorse or self-reproach putting the blame on oneself caused by feeling that one is responsible for a wrong or an offense to the point of feeling guilty. Guilt focuses on what one has done and cannot receive the act of forgiveness made by Jesus on the cross. There are healthy sides of guilt but when you are stuck in guilt it becomes a stronghold.

A stronghold of denial refuses to acknowledge any of the above things. Denial is a valid, temporary mental and emotional coping mechanism to enable the human mind to survive certain traumatic situations — similar to how shock shuts down and prevents a severely wounded body from death. Denial enables abused children to survive unbearable situations. But just as shock becomes dangerous and life threatening when a person cannot come out of it, so does denial when it becomes a stronghold.

Are you aware that what you have learned about yourself can be more powerful in shaping your life than the truth? Our authority is in Christ. Christ Jesus should be our only stronghold. A Psalm of David. This takes awareness, willingness, humility, obedience, courage, effort, risk and perseverance. You need to trust God and you need to trust one person who is safe, mature and who unconditionally loves you. Courage, desire, determination and consistency, put these into practice and persevere.

This will take much wisdom, humility and discipline. It is God who is all the while effectively at work in you — energizing and creating in you the power and desire, both to will and work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. But Jesus has made provision for us to walk into renewal and restoration right here on earth while we are still in our mortal bodies. We need to face our everyday struggles from within ourselves and learn to be proactive, intentional, still, and listen to the truth spoken to us through the Spirit of God.

Strongholds by nature are sin, and sin by nature causes violence, chaos, drama and division. Why do you think Jesus cried out: We need to get to the root issues.
